All You Need to Know About Doublo Lift: All-in-One Anti-Aging HIFU Treatment

What is Doublo Lifting?

Unlike conventional equipment that targets only the dermis, it is a non-surgical laser lifting that enables fundamental treatment of wrinkles through regeneration of the superficial musculo-aponeurotic system (commonly known as SMAS) layer, which is the cause of skin irritation and wrinkles, using high-intensity direct ultrasonic energy (HIFU).

HIFU ultrasonic energy is shot to the SMAS layer at 3 to 4.4.mm depth below the skin surface, creating a heat coagulation area smaller than 1mm. This is where the anti-aging magic happens: The sagging skin tissue shrinks and pulls up the skin due to a high thermal reaction when it reaches more than 60 degrees in these heat coagulation areas. After the treatment, continuous skin regeneration occurs for one to three months, creating collagen and elastin that are good for the skin, and maintaining the lifting effect.

What are the effects?

While other existing elastic lifting lasers were only targeted at the dermis, the Doublo Lifting Laser works even deeper into the peritoneum, keeping the effect clearer and longer. It is effective in resolving many signs of aging, including:

Sagging skin around eyes, forehead and between eyebrows

Is it safe? What is the downtime?

Besides lifting laser treatments, Dr. Cho also recommended several lifestyle habits to adopt which are great for anti-aging. Firstly, do not touch the face as much as possible in order to reduce the loss of skin elasticity. Avoid using too much physical force on your face, such as when washing your face or resting on your chin, as it may reduce skin elasticity and cause wrinkles. Next, you've definitely seen a lot of articles on alcohol and tobacco, which are not only bad for our health, but speed up skin aging as well. Avoid drinking and smoking. Lastly, consume a healthy and balanced diet of fresh vegetables and fruits to provide your skin with the nutrients it needs.
