Korean Cosmetic Surgery Tax Refund is Now Official!
Great news for those who have been considering a holiday makeover trip to Korea!
From April 1st 2016, you can get a tax refund which amounts to 10% of your cosmetic procedure spending at registered Korean cosmetic surgery clinics and hospitals.
Here is the list of medical services eligible for tax refund.

Double Eye-lid, Rhinoplasty, Breast Surgery (reduction/augmentation), Liposuction, Face Lift, Facial bone contouring, Teeth Whitening, Laminate, Gingivoplasty, Orthognathic surgery

Nevus pigmentosus, Freckles, Lentigo, Chloasma, Pimple, Hair removal, Hair loss, Hair transplantation, Tattoo, Tattoo removal, Piercing, Lipolysis, Skin regeneration, Skin Whitening, Anti-aging, Pore tightening
You can get a refund at the Airport on your departure or at Downtown refund center. And remember, only procedures under $2000 can be refunded at Downtown center and if above, you should process it at the Airport.
This whole process is quite simple:

After the medical treatment, receive “the certificate of medical services” from your medical service provider.

Submit the certificate at the refund point (Airport of Downtown refund center)

Get your VAT refund :)
Also don’t forget that refund request should be processed within 3 months after your medical procedure.
